Phone Systems of the Future are Here

Monday, November 23rd, 2009
Peter Blackman asked:

reless Cellular phone system of the future will be designed to work in a home or home office. It combines the old with the new and it uses digital landline corded phones and/or cordless phones and a new Wireless Cellular phone that has three frequencies so that it will work with US or European GSM Cellular tower systems and is wi-fi compatible. some devices may be even Cell Phone Satellite compatible.

There is a base station that is wi-fi compatible, is connected to the internet and uses VOip for long distance communications. The existing landline systems in either a house or small business is disconnected from the traditional landline system but the digital corded landline phones connect to the existing phone jacks and one of the phone jacks connects to the base station. The cordless phone system also connects to the base station. The cordless phones are strategically located on either end of the house with one of them in the home office. The corded phones are used in rooms like a bedroom where the phone is used less often. On occasion the cordless phone may get lost but you will always be able to find a corded phone.

The wireless cellular phone will look for a wi-fi system and use the internet for VOip communications as a first choice but when that is not available it will seek out a wireless cellular phone tower. The Wireless cellular phone has a Cell Phone GPS chip that will transmit the phone location when the cell phone is activating a 911 call, or when trying to locate the closest cellular phone tower or when being used to locate someone in an emergency situation or when the user is trying to find their location and when the user is using the phone as a location device to find a restaurant or get directions.

This new cell phone is keyless with a touch screen, is voice activated, and comes with a special protection case that not only protects the cell phone touch screen from metal keys in your pocket but also contains a light metal plate that deflects any EMF radiation coming from the phone while the phone is located in ones pocket or purse. The Bluetooth headsets will be voice activated and they come on only when the cell phone is receiving a call or when the user is manually initiating a call.

The cell phone is a PDA or blackberry like device and is capable of sending and receiving emails, text messaging, taking pictures and uploading the pictures to the internet, and as an organizer it keeps track of appointments, is an alarm clock, is a MP3 player and will play movies and a receive and play TV programs.

One of the goals of the cell phone service providers is to come up with more reasons that the cell phone needs to be online to increase air time and therefore generate more revenues. The wi-fi to VOip feature has taken a big chunk out of the airtime usage of the cell phone so more and more devices are being added to Wireless Cell Phones to keep the air time usage at a maximum.

Most of the above features already exist in various systems and cell phones but do not exist as one system or one cell phone. In the future Phone systems will combine all of the above features and more into one system and one Wireless Cellular Phone device.

The Advantages of this futuristic phone system is it merges existing technology with new technology saving on operating cost especially long distance calling and makes the home office a more efficient work environment that you will be able to take with you where ever you go.

Mobile Phones: Add Color to your Personality

shallyparkar asked:

Thanks to innovating and improved technologies that has transformed mobile phones into computers. Now, mobiles are serving purpose of almost everything that we generally do on computers and laptops. Even advertisers believe they have struck upon the formula for getting their messages across without irking consumers.

Several blue-chip brands like Nokia Corp. and McDonald’s Corp. have been experimenting with interactive ads on cell phones, taking advantage of the device’s ability to know where you are. Customers have the option of finding the nearest retail or restaurant outlet with the press of a key.

Apart from that, the iPhone– multimedia and Internet-enabled quad-band GSM EDGE-supported mobile phone designed and sold by Apple– has also received a huge amount of publicity. The good news is the iPhone has high awareness. 77% of people in the survey had heard of it and 41% of that group had a good impression of the phone. The bad news is that few people want to buy it. Just 6% of people said they were planning on buying the iPhone. The high price ($500-$600) is a strong disincentive. Even with typical phone plan commitment discount, the phone will still cost $300-400 plus expensive Internet access and messaging fees. Still, 6% is an outstanding first year sales figure that could translate into millions of first year buyers.

The another inevitable fact that make mobile phone even more exciting is that in the near future our cell phones will function as credit cards; in fact, in some countries, they already do. Your credit card number is stored on your cell phone and through wireless magic; you can pay for something just by waving your cell phone at a special reader. It’s already being tested in some countries, and it’s only a matter of time before most of us have the option to add this latest functionality to our mobile phones.

Google is also working hard on mobile services. Talk of a Google-branded search service-packing phone has been circulating for months. The Wall Street Journals claims that Google has been waving prototype phones around in front of potential partners have lead to an influx of ‘shopped concepts. Moreover, as price competition forces margins down, the mobile networks are moving to offer additional services to increase revenue and customer commitment. Internet access, information by SMS and WAP and services such as Orange’s Wildfire are applications for existing technology, but provide new services. We have HSCSD and GPRS (giving faster data speeds), though priced rather too high for widespread use.

Thus, after the computers and television, the increasing development in mobile phones handset promises to be a “third monitor” to display your stuff.
